Jind M¤ An Army helicopter had to make an emergency landing due to a technical snag in village Jajanwala on Sunday morning.
Four army personnel, including the pilot, on board were safe.
As soon as the information was received, the police from Narwana Sadar police station reached the spot and the technical unit of the army has been called to the spot.
A number of villagers gathered there as the helicopter landed in the fields.
A technical fault occurred in Army’s AI-1123 helicopter when it was passing over village Jajanwala on Sunday afternoon and the pilot landed it safely in the field of Jabar Singh, a resident of village Jajanwala.
There was no damage to the helicopter nor to any of the jawans aboard. It said that four Army personnel, including the pilot, were present in the helicopter and it was going from Bathinda to Delhi.
SP Kuldeep Singh said the emergency landing of the Army helicopter has taken place in the fields. The jawan and the helicopter aboard were safe. There is no report of any damage. A police force has been sent to the spot, he added.
