Washington : US President Joe Biden again tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday, with his “very occasional” cough improving, presidential physician Kevin O’Connor said.
“The President feels very well today. He is still experiencing a very occasional cough, but the cough is improving. His temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate and oxygen saturation remain entirely normal. His lungs remain clear. Given his rebound positivity which we reported Saturday, we have continued daily monitoring. This morning, his SARS-CoV-2 antigen testing remained positive,” O’Connor said in a statement.
Biden will continue to follow his strict isolation measures, the statement added.
On Saturday, Biden announced that he tested positive for the coronavirus again, slightly more than three days after he discontinued the isolation measures following a negative test.
The US president has been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus and twice-boosted.
