Hyderabad :The National Executive of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) started here Saturday , where top leaders of the party will discuss political and economic issues, as well as discuss expanding the base of the party.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived on Saturday evening at the meeting venue, and was welcomed by BJP President JP Nadda.
“Landed in the dynamic city of Hyderabad to take part in the BJP National Executive Meeting. During this meeting we will discuss a wide range of issues aimed at further strengthening the Party,” Modi said in a tweet.
Party’s National Vice President Vasundhara Raje said the party will pass a political and an economic resolution. A separate resolution will also be passed on Telangana, the state where the meet is being held.
Among other topics, the recent incidents of murder on communal lines in Udaipur, and a similar incident that happened in Amravati are also likely to be discussed.
Speaking during the meeting of office bearers in Hyderabad, Nadda asked the party workers to strengthen the party at the booth level.
He said each booth should have 200 active members enrolled, and said the party will reach 20 crore people through ‘har ghar tiranga’ programme and engage with the 30 crore listed beneficiaries of central government schemes.
Nadda, in his address at the beginning of the two-day meet thanked the Prime Minister for the pro-poor policies.
The political resolution is expected to focus on the roadmap for 2024 Lok Sabha poll. The Presidential polls, in which Draupadi Murmu is the ruling party is also likely to be discussed.
