Itanagar : Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig Dr BD Mishra has called for Central Government’s help for “sustainable” and “inclusive” growth of rural Arunachal Pradesh.
He said this can be achieved through a multi-pronged programme enhancing livelihood opportunities for the rural populace and developing infrastructure for growth.
The Governor said this when the Union Minister of State for Steel and Rural Development Faggan Singh Kulaste called on him at the Raj Bhavan here on Friday.
It was a courtesy call, a communique from the Governor’S Secretariat said , adding that he urged the Union Minister for more development and welfare activities in rural parts of the State.
The Governor further said that providing all-weather rural road connectivity will bring visible change and facilitate socio-economic financial empowerment of the rural community, for which the Central Government should assist the State.
