The SC has withdrawn the contempt plea against the Maharashtra government over the 2018 killing of a man-eating tigress called Avni in the Yavatmal district. The Court has asked the petitioner Sangeeta Dovra to withdraw the plea as officials informed that the killing had been approved by the top court.
