UP CM Yogi Adityanath has directed the Secondary Scool Department to include the Chauri Chauri incident in the state education board for high school students.
In Feb 4, 1922, a group of freedom fighters at Chauri Chaura in Gorakhpur set a police station on fire to protest against the British foreign rule. The incident climed the lives of 22 policemen and 3 freedom fighters.
Chauri Chaura centenary celebrations will be held in all schools of the set for a year, starting Feb 4.
