Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad ask the govt on Wednesday to present a bill in Rajya Sabha proposing restoration of statehood for Jammu and Kashmir arguing that “if we are to fight our enemies at the border, we have to take our own people into confidence” during the Motion of Thanks to the President’s address.
Azad further commented the “law and order situation was a hundred times better, militancy at its lowest and development at its best” when J&K was still a state.
