New Delhi : Germany has ratified the International Solar Alliance agreement, and the instrument of accession was handed over to officials of the External Affairs Ministry in Delhi, MEA said.
“Germany Ratifies ISA Agreement! handed Instrument of Accession to International Solar Alliance, during meeting of Dr Maria Flachsbarth and Mr Norbert Barthle, Parliamentary State Secretaries, German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, with Secretary (ER) Dammu Ravi and JS (ED) Noor Rahman Sheikh,” MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said in a tweet.
Germany last month became the fifth country to sign the International Solar Alliance Framework Agreement after amendments to it entered into force on 8th January this year, opening its Membership to all Member States of the United Nations.
ISA is a treaty-based international government organization headquartered in New Delhi.
