Dharamshala : Two people were killed and three others injured in four different road accidents involving mostly motorcycles, during last 24 hours police said here on Friday.
Kangra District Senior Superintendent of Police Mr Kaushal Sharma told UNI that a motor cycle rider Anshul resident of Luthan village of Jawalamukhi was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle at Badoli falling under Jawalamukhi police station on Friday.
The SSP said that another motorcyclist Ramesh Chand resident of Shaiwan Suliali Nurpur was killed when another motorcycle rammed into his motorcycle, while coming from the opposite and wrong direction and driven by Ankit, resident of Nurpur at Macord Jamun falling under Nurpur police station on late Thursday evening. Ankit was also injured in the accident.
In both the cases police registered cases against the erring drivers under section 279, 337 and 304 (A) IPC and the investigation was in progress.
The SSP said that on Thursday at 2130 hrs a motorcycle rider identified as Rajesh Kumar of Saibanta village of Thural area of this district was seriously injured when his motorcycle rammed against a tree at Thakurdawara Alampur.
He said that another motorcycle driver identified as Paras, resident of Bhwarna was seriously injured when his
motorcycle rammed against a car coming from opposite direction at Bhwarna. The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals and police registered cases under relevant sections of IPC.
