Hamirpur (HP) : Himachal Pradesh reported 87 new cases of novel coronavirus on Friday, Health Department said.
Besides, one man also lost his life due to the virus.
This led to an increase in the number of active cases to 466, said a spokesman of the HP Health Department.
He said that in all, 6,328 samples were tested out of which 87 were found positive.
The spokesperson said that a maximum number of 36 new cases were found in Kangra district, followed by Solan with 14 cases, ten in Shimla, eight in Hamirpur, five in Kullu, and four each in Bilaspur and Una districts respectively.
The spokesman said that the total numbers of confirmed cases in the state had risen to 2, 28,857 as against 2, 24,512 cured cases.
Meanwhile, the total number of fatalities in the state has risen to 3,859, the spokesman further added.
