Hamirpur (HP) :Himachal Pradesh has reported 97 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, a spokesman of the Health Department said here on Saturday.
The number of active cases in Himachal Pradesh has come down despite 97 new cases being found on Friday, said a spokesman.
The spokesman told UNI today that as against 97 new positive cases that were reported, the number of cured cases was 245. He said that as many as 3,284 samples were tested on Friday.
He said that the total number of the confirmed cases has reached the mark of 2, 24,716 and that of the cured cases at 2, 19,450.
The spokesman said that a maximum of 42 cases was reported in Kangra district followed by Hamirpur and Shimla with sixteen cases each.
The number of total fatalities on Friday stood at 3,751, the spokesman added.
He said that there was no corona-free district left in the state on Friday as there were two such cases in the district of Sirmaur and one in Lahaul and Spiti which were earlier declared corona-free districts.
Meanwhile, as against sixteen new positive cases, the number of cured cases in Hamirpur district stood at forty-one. The new positive cases include four children studying in the government schools of the district.
He said that there were 271 active cases left in the Hamirpur district.
