Dubai, The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday expressed sadness at the death of former BCCI administrator and ICC Director Amitabh Chaudhary.
Chaudhary, former cricket administrator and ex-IPS, passed away on Tuesday morning at a city-based hospital in Ranchi. He was 58.
ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice said: “It is sad to hear of the passing of Amitabh Chaudhary. On behalf of the ICC, I extend my deepest condolences to our colleagues at the BCCI as well as his family and friends.”
According to sources, Choudhary had sustained a major heart attack while he was having a walk in the lawn of his home in the morning where he suddenly collapsed following which he was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors.
