New Delhi : Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Monday said India has set a record by administering over one crore Covid-19 vaccines per day for nearly a week.
“India is making a record by administering over one crore vaccines in a day. The number of vaccine doses being administered every day is more than the entire population of many countries,” Madaviya said in a tweet.
He said it is an achievement for every Indian.
He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for encouraging people of Himachal Pradesh to get the second dose of vaccination.
Modi today interacted with healthcare workers and beneficiaries of the Covid vaccination programme in Himachal Pradesh through video-conferencing.
Himachal Pradesh has become the first state to achieve the target of administering the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine to all eligible people above 18 years.
