Hassan: Former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda’s son HD Revanna on Monday said that the Income Tax department has issued a notice to his mother Chennamma, regarding her property. “Let the I-T department issue notice to us. They have issued a notice to my mother. They have issued notice to ex-PM Deve Gowda’s wife! Let them serve notice. I am not saying they should not do it,” he told reporters here. Revanna said the I-T officials should visit the agricultural land and see for themselves that the family is growing sugarcane there. He also said an appropriate reply would be given to the I-T notice and urged that the issue should not be used for political gain. “We will furnish all the information to the I-T officials in this regard,” he added. Meanwhile, younger son of Deve Gowda and State JDS President HD Kumaraswamy said the former Prime Minister never attached importance to money in 60 years of his political life.
