Idukki (Kerala) : A massive landslide occurred at Kundala Puthukkudi near Munnar in Idukki district of Kerala on Saturday morning due to heavy rain, dumping tons of debris over two shops and a temple.
No casualty is reported in the incident following which about 142 families were shifted to relief camps in Devikulam Panchayat, sources said.
Two auto rickshaws were trapped in the debris blocking roads and disrupting traffic.
In August 2020, about 55 people were killed in a major landslide at Pettimudy near Munnar due to heavy rain.
