Nagpur : Five more MBBS first-year students of Datta Meghe Medical College (DMMC), Wanadongri who had received both the doses of the COVID vaccine tested positive for COVID-19, sources said on Friday.
According to the sources four of them are girls and one is boy.
Sources further said that the girls are hostelites and have been shifted to the college’s Shalinitai Meghe Hospital and Research Centre (SMHRC) on the same campus in Wanadongri.
Datta Meghe Medical College (DMMC), had tested 100 students at the SMHRC, after 11 of their batchmates tested positive early this week.
With 16 infected students now, a decision on their institutional quarantine would be taken by Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), sources said.
All the students are doing well and most are asymptomatic, said sources.
