Aurangabad : Maharashtra Minister of State for Revenue and Rural Development, Abdul Sattar, on Sunday assured that the state government was committed to provide maximum compensation to the rain-affected farmers of Marathwada.
Interacting with farmers during his visit to various villages in the district to inspect damaged crops, he said that Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray was reviewing the damage to standing crops in Marathwada on a daily basis and the farmers should not worry.
The state government was committed to provide maximum compensation to the flood victims, he assured and directed the officials present to take immediate action and submit a report of the damage to the government to ensure that no farmer is deprived of compensation.
Mr Sattar also directed the Revenue and Agriculture departments to immediately conduct ‘panchnama’ of damaged crops in order to expedite the process of giving compensation to farmers.
