Kuala Lumpur : Malaysia reported 22,491 new Covid-19 infections, bringing the national total to 4,054,926, the country’s Health Ministry informed on Thursday. There are 382 new imported cases, with 22,109 being local transmissions, data released on the ministry’s website showed. A further 65 deaths have been reported, bringing the death toll to 34,600. The ministry reported 26,234 new recoveries, bringing the total number of cured and discharged to 3,771,463. There are currently 248,863 active cases, of which 332 are being held in intensive care and 189 of those are in need of assisted breathing.
