Mamata Banerjee pledges support to farmers’ movement

In a meeting  where Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Tikait and Yudhvir Singh were meant to discuss issues related to agriculture and local farmers with the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the TMC chief assured her full support to the farmers’ movement against the contentious agriculture laws. She announced that her “support for the farmers’ movement will be there” and that “India is hungrily waiting for policies which will help in fighting Covid-19, assist farmers and industry.”
