According to provisional data released by the Commerce Ministry on Tuesday, India’s merchandise exports surged over 69 per cent in May from the previous year levels. The $32.3 billion export figure was most likely driven by a favourable base and improved demand from key markets. Goods exports have now crossed the pre-Covid level for three straight months.
