Shimla : The South West Monsoon has lashed many parts of Himachal Pradesh in the past 24 hours, partly affecting the normal life, the Met Office said on Sunday.
Dhaulakuan in Sirmaur district received 120 mm rain, Renuka 95 mm, Mandi 88 mm, Bilaspur 73 mm, Ghumarwin-57 mm & Aghar-55 mm, Gaggal in Kangra 54 mm, Baldwara in Mandi 53 mm, Una-52 mm, Rampur (Shimla) 51 mm, Dehra Gopipur in Kangra 49 mm, Paonta Sahib (Sirmaur) 48 mm and Jubbar Hatti 46 mm.
Rainfall also occurred at Kumarsen, Mashobra, Narkanda, Kufri and Sunnibhaji of Shimla, Guler, Dharmshala, Palampur and Mehre in Kangra, Sundernagar and Pandoh in Mandi, Jhandutta in Bilaspur, Kandaghat in Solan and Banjar in Kullu.
As many as 13 roads were affected by heavy rainfall, including five in Mandi, four in Sirmaur, three in Lahaul Spiti and one in Bilaspur.
Kangra bypass road is blocked due to heavy landslides in the state, leading to huge traffic jam. A Public Works Department spokesperson said that about 81 power transmission lines were affected in the state, including 60 in Rajgarh and Paonta Sahib of Sirmaur, 18 in Dalhousie and Salooni of Chamba and three in Mandi district.
Total 21 water supply schemes were also disrupted due to increasing silt level and flash flood including 18 in Nahan sub-division of Sirmaur and three in Chamba.
