Jammu : Jammu and Kashmir police on Saturday claimed to have cracked a murder case by arresting a man for killing his brother-in-law in Mendhar area of Poonch district.
Police said that on June 8, Mohammad Sharik of Gohlad was found dead in a water pond after which his body was removed and legal formalities were initiated.
They said that during the course of investigation, victim’s parents apprehended murder.
“We have solved the case and it came to fore that victim Mohammad Sharik was murdered by his brother-in-law (sister’s husband), Mohammad Qasim son of Gohlad,” he said.
He added that the accused has been arrested and a case was registered.
