Thiruvananthapuram : Professional Colleges in Kerala will reopen from October 4.
Classes in colleges, including professional colleges, will start from that date by strictly following the guidelines issued by Higher Education Department.
College authorities will ensure that all students and staff have taken at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine two weeks prior to their attendance in classes or have tested COVID-19 positive at least one month before attending classes, a Government Order (GO) said here on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the state government has also decided to reopen schools in the state from November one.
A decision in this regard was taken at the COVID Review Meeting Chaired by the Chief Minister yesterday.
Classes for 1-7 standards, plus-one and plus-two will start from November 1, and classes for 8-10 standards from November 15.
The meeting also directed to take all precautionary steps for the reopening of the schools in the state in view of COVID pandemic.
