Jalna : Minister of state for Railways, Coal and Mines Raosaheb Patil Danve on Sunday morning flagged off ‘Kisan Rail’ from Jalna railway station.
Railway’s top officials, BJP office bearers and farmers were also present.
Speaking on this occasion, Danve said that railway today fulfilled the long pending demand of the farmers.
Kisan Rail would help in the transportation of agricultural produce, especially perishable commodities, at cheaper rates and aid farmers in getting the right price for their crops, he added.
It may noted that the concept of Kisan rail was stated by Railway Ministry in Month of August in 2020 and first ‘Kisan Rail’ was flagged off from Devlali in Nashik district of Maharashtra by Union Ministers Narendra Singh Tomar and Piyush Goyal.
