The Supreme Court has rejected the PIL against former J&K CM Farooq Abdullah citing that expression of views different from the government cannot be called sedition. The PIL was filed by Rajat Sharma and Neh Srivastava over the CM’s statement against the abrogation of Article 370 in Kashmir. The petitioners were fined with Rs 50,000 for failing to substantiate their allegations.
