Dubai experienced a heavy explosion on a container ship docked at the crucial Jebel Ali Port on Thursday. However, there were no reports of casualties or injuries at the port. A Dubai police personnel told the Saudi-owned Al-Arabiya TV that the fire appeared to have started in one of the containers holding “flammable material”. The United Nations ship database identified the vessel’s owners as Sash Shipping corporation.
