Udupi : Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday visited Udupi Krishna Math in the morning and received blessings from Shri Vidyasagara Theertha Swamiji. She also visited Kollur Mookambika temple and offered prayers. In the next half of the day, Sitharaman is scheduled to attend various programmes in the city. She will inaugurate the extension block in Sri Krishna Balaniketana and the annual convocation ceremony of TA Pai Management Institute (TAPMI). TAPMI is a private autonomous business school in India which was established in 1980 and is located in the university town of Manipal. After that, she will leave to Mangaluru and fly to Bengaluru at 2040 hours. The flight is expected to arrive in Bengaluru at 2150 hours. On May 15, Sitharaman will visit Kalena Agrahara Lake at 0900 hours and attend a programme on Vedanada Gurukul Vedic Convocation Ceremony at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan from 1600 hours to 1800 hours. The minister will fly to Delhi from Bengaluru International Airport at 1940 hours. Sitharaman had arrived at Mangaluru International Airport late Friday evening before proceeding to Udupi.
