New Delhi : Independent MLA from Uttarakhand Pritam Singh Panwar on Wednesday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party, ahead of the upcoming assembly polls in the state.
Panwar is an independent MLA from Dhanolti in Uttarakhand. He has been an MLA twice before, in 2002 and 2012, and has also served as a minister in the previous Congress led government in the state.
Union minister Smriti Irani, Uttarakhand BJP Chief Madan Kaushik, Rajya Sabha MP Anil Baluni and newly appointed co-incharge for upcoming Uttarakhand assembly polls RP Singh were present on the occasion.
