Lucknow : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath celebrated 71st birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi by presenting gifts to Divyangs and kicked-off the BJP’s 20-day Sewa and Samarpan campaign which will continue till October 7.
“Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has special attachment and sympathy for Divyangjan. The word Divyang is also the gift of the Prime Minister. Keeping in mind the attachment of Prime Minister towards Divyangjan, on the occasion of his 71st birthday, a 20-day service dedication program of service is being started from today,” CM said after presenting gifts to Divyang children at the Nirvana Rehabilitation Center here on Friday.
He also presented fruits to the children.
The Chief Minister said that today’s program on the occasion of the Prime Minister’s birthday is important because Narendra Modi has given a new direction to the country in various fields. The Prime Minister gave the message that there is talent in Divyangjan too. To make that talent useful for the society and the country, they have to be given a proper platform, he said.
“My aim of participating in this program is to assure the disabled children about a bright future on behalf of the Prime Minister. They are special children and should be treated with compassion and sympathy,” he said.
Meanwhile, BJP workers celebrated the Prime Minister’s birthday through various service activities including health check-up camps, blood donation, distribution of fruits in poor settlements, orphanages and old age homes, and cleanliness programs across the state.
BJP state president Swatantra Dev Singh, national vice-president and state in-charge Radha Mohan Singh and state general secretary (organisation) Sunil Bansal participated in the service and dedication campaign in various districts of the state.
Dev Singh reached the Hanuman Setu temple in Lucknow and lighted 71 lamps. Later he also participated in a programme in Prayagraj.
Singh appealed to every party worker to take inspiration from the life of Prime Minister while discharging his role in nation building, remain ready for public welfare and service works.
The party’s national vice president and state in-charge Shri Radha Mohan Singh ji honored the farmers and jawans in a function in Mathura while Sunil Bansal attended the program in Meerut.
